We went to Jordan Valley Park today to play in the fountain, ride scooters, and take photos. Eric climbed up on a rock after he was finished playing in the fountain.
I thought it would be fun to look at Eric on the same rock this year and last year.
No, Andrea, that can't be the same child. Yes, they're both blond, but the first one is a big kid and the other one is a baby. Something is not right here.
Eric certainly likes climbing up there! He looks like he can imagine all sorts of things: sailing a ship, flying a plane... or maybe dropping something on a passerby -- who knows? But he certainly looks happy up there.
If he gets married there next year as Sandy said, we want pictures of his ringbearer! And the following year, we want pictures of your grandkids atop the rock, ok?...

It's damned scary, that's what it is. Last year, he was still your baby. Now he's all intrepid and kid-like. Before you know it, he'll be hanging out with girls and never hear you because he'll have headphones in his ears 24/7.

Since Stephanie just started high school this morning and Alex is starting preschool (and he's nearly the same age as Eric), I'm probably in no state to regard these objectively.
What a wonderful idea, Andrea! Wish I'd thought of doing that when the kids were.....well, smaller and more controllable. At 27 and 30, I get rolling eyes when I say "OK, kids! Time for your annual brother/sister photo!" - They bugged off last year, but I swear I'll get one this year if I have to tie them down............... Your boy is just lovely, and I'm amazed at the difference in ONE YEAR!

Vicky, we do have an excellent parks department. This is just one park of many we like to go to.
