Here are the latest photos I've taken of my two stepdaughters, Melissa and Heather, while we were all at Lake Charlevoix this past July. Melissa is in her 5th year of college at the University of Cincinnati, having taken extra courses in the pursuit of a geology degree, and Heather has just begun her freshman year at the University of Toledo, and plans to major in biology.
I have known them since they were 8 and 3 years old, respectively, and they have both grown into lovely, accomplished young women. When they get together, they get a little on the crazy side, as you'll see in some of these pictures, and we all do a lot of laughing. They're very close to each other even though they're five years apart. As you'll see here, the years make NO difference whatsoever!

Melissa gazing out at the sunset over Lake Charlevoix

A penny for her thoughts...

She's becoming a photographer in her own right as well!

Let the craziness begin! Heather & Melissa making faces at the photographer during a sunset ride in our boat!

Melissa taking photos of her silly sister...

Silly sister, Heather, ams flailing, almost falling down from the front of the boat...

This is what she was *trying* to do ~ the famous "Captain Morgan" pose! ;-D

Having a good laugh...

Melissa smiling back at her good old stepmom...

Uh, what?

Work it, Heather, work it! ;-D

One more "glam" pose on a bouncy boat...

Back on the beach, the girls strike a cheerleader-ish pose!

Best Buddies

A sweet picture of Melissa walking on the beach at sunset...

Still cavorting with each other well into the night! What a pair!

Stepmom and photographer at rest (taken by Melissa)...
