It didn't take them long to get busy. I got this email this morning (morning in California):
__________________________________________________________
"Nalita --
I'd like to thank you for the warm welcome I've received as the newest member of this campaign.
What you and Barack have accomplished over the past 19 months is incredible, and it's an honor to be part of it. I'm looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and getting involved.
I recorded a short video message about how I hope to help in the weeks ahead.
Please take a minute to watch the video and share it with your friends:

Over the next few weeks, I'll be doing a lot of the things you've done to grow this movement -- reaching out day after day in neighborhoods all across the country, connecting with people who are hungry for the change we need.
This is no ordinary time, and this is no ordinary election. I plan to do everything I can to help Barack take back the White House.
I don't need to tell you that John McCain will just bring us another four years of the same. You can't change America when you supported George Bush's policies 95% of the time.
Barack has the vision and the courage to bring real change to Washington. But even he can't do this alone.
Join me by getting involved in your community -- and reach out to your friends and family to get them involved as well.
Please watch this video and pass it on:

Thank you,
Joe

I'm just passing it along as he requested.
(You're quite welcome, uh . . . "Joe".)

Gwen! Tell me how you REALLY feel.
I'm glad that Biden has improved Obama's image in your eyes. You should not apologize for disliking Senator Obama, though.
Thank you, Gwen!
Karen
Jim
Much thanks as well!
Nancy Pelosi was also on there. It was informative, and I am glad I did not miss it. Go Obama! Ellen B
You've surely hit the nail on the head!!!
In retrospect, with hindsight and 20/20 vision, what are the pundits NOW saying cost Hillary so dearly?
Why, it was her failure to utilize the Internet, that's what.
What did Obama go into right away?
Use -- masterful use of the the Internet, that's what!
Been to his website lately?
He has ALL of the major websites covered, and there is NO WAY at this point that McCain can EVER catch up.
But even, if he could, the buzz buzz buzz amongst there Young Ones is . . .
Obama!
Obama!
Obama!
I've already decided that, on the email that I cannot use anymore, I'm simply going to ask Yahoo! to clear THE WHOLE THING OUT!, for the Young Ones are simply fanatical about Obama, and rather than it slowing down; it would appear to be exponentially, if the email is any indication of it.
If television was key for Kennedy in 1960, then the Internet is key for Obama this year.
Plus, McCain has not reached that segment, the 18-24 segment of the population, those which so many think shall not turn out in a couple of months.
Well, I have news for those who are that misguided -- the lyrics to a song which say:
"Look at me now
Watch me now . . ."
The old expression, "Don't count your chickens before they're hatched."
I'm well aware of the expression.
But there's another expression, as well; in fact there are 2 that apply to this situation where McCain's victory is concerned:
"You're beating a dead horse."
and
"Wake up and smell the coffee."
Even a third one:
"The party's over." (Obama has won, and if you are deluded into believing rigged polls, where Young Ones are NOT being consulted, don't be surprised at what you learned on Wednesday, November 5, 2008.)
I missed the "Meet the Press" program. At one point I had my Tivo set to record anything with "Obama" in it, but now, there are sooooo many programs like that -- wow -- the programming was too much, so I took his name OUT. (It seemed as though every other scheduled program was something about Obama. Too, too much.)
I wish I could have seen that one, though.
Andrea,
Good for you. I do have one question for you -- and all McCain supporters -- and that is this: will you support the President of the United States, no matter WHO wins in November, so that we get this Country back on its feet?
. . . and Carol, I am beginning to see more and more that he was a SMART choice, more so than safe, in my opinion!
Ron! It's interesting that you would say that, because the talk I was having with my friends here in the Bay Area was my hope that Obama WOULD come out and do something like that -- put a Republican on the ticket as his Vice Presidential running mate. Great minds (yours and mine) think alike. Now wouldn't that have ruffled a few, more than a few feathers. I am a little disappointed that he didn't do it, but HE is the political genius, and not I, so . . .
Thanks, Ron!
I got the same email, and considered putting up the video myself, but you beat me to it. Oh well, it's way too important a video not to be out there, so thanks for all you do, Neetah.
And remember this: despite what he says and despite what he does,
Jeff H.
really does like you. Now go over there to his pings and show him how much you care!
