Good Morning! It’s Sunday – My Favorite Day!

I love Sunday! It’s my favorite day. For several years I often worked on Sunday, and I eventually realized I needed at least one day I could plan on being off in the week. I needed a day I could relax, recharge and use as a compass for the coming week.  So, now Sunday is kept off the table for scheduled work.

Sunday is the day I just let gently unfold, finding its own way. Sometimes it meanders slowly. Sometimes it picks up momentum and inadvertently becomes very busy, but in a good way. Often when I stop to pick up a paper and coffee on my way to church, I will run into friends and we will enjoy a long overdue chat. On those days I worship at the house of Starbucks and read from the bible of the New York Times.

Borders is usually a stop sometime during the day, as is Trader Joe’s. No specific mission there, just places I like to wander. Other options: go to brunch, walk on the grounds of the Huntington Gardens, take a nap, read a magazine. Nothing is planned and there is no work involved at all! That is the point.

All that being said, it is time to begin my Sunday meander!
