Who has it harder?

I was wonder who you think has it harder: teachers or moms. I am undecided right now. I think teachers have it hard because they have to put up with a room full of kids for eight hours (or less). But they get to send them home and not worry til the next day. Where as a mom worries no matter if the child is at hom or at school. What do you think? It has it harder : teachers or moms? Why do you think this?

Teachers! I do not have the patience to be a teacher, I think I would walk around with headaches all day.

Moms and dads because we have to deal everything the child does. We have to deal with their grades at school, their homework, teaching our boys how to be good young men, dealing with their every day stress, and much much more.
My wife is a teacher and she agrees. Your own children also know you love them and push extra buttons.

I think we both have it hard. We face different battles. I think parents really have it harder because at the end of 7 1/2 or 8 1/2 hours students go home and parents have the challenge of guiding their children the rest of the day. I may worry about my students when they are not with me but I pass the baton to their parents after 3 or 4. Also after graduation my responsibility is done. A parent is always a parent. May our deepest respect always go out to good parents.

i'd say mom's definitely. parents are always responsible for their kids, teachers only during school hours. teachers are wonderful, awesome, and amazing people though don't get me wrong.

The kids! The kids have it harder. Our society has fallen way past the mark. BOTH parents have to work 40+ to put up the basics, while being strayed away from parental responsibility a majority of the time and this creates a terrible problem for the teachers, as they are becoming more involved with personal problems of their students, taking focus away from their educational role.

It's a sad fact and something needs to change. Sacrifice. Budget. Live within your means and offer Mom's the time they need to nourish their children and stop expecting them to take on the role of homemaker, childcare, full-time employee, and wife.

It's time to bring a balance back.

Parents, because they have the legal and moral responsibilities to make sure their children are taken care of. The teachers have to make sure they are ok during the day, but in the end, they belong to their parents. Interesting question Sandy!

I'm going to go with parents. Teachers get days off, summers off, holidays off, and if they REALLY can't take it any more, they can quit. Parents get no such breaks.

I have to worry about my kids grades more than my kids' teeachers last year! The counselor did more than them...oh! that's right ....they didn't have a contract!

my friend is a teacher and mom...she deals with those kids 24/7 and the parents are worse

Teachers! There is noway I could put up with children who are all the same age ... going through the same stages.
