Well, the Summer concert series on the Santa Monica, CA. Pier is almost over for the season. They have one more I believe.
Thursday night the show was a host of memories, from Gerry & The Pacemakers, with special guest Stephen, from The Tremeloes.
Then came Peter & Gordon. A bittersweet moment for me as it the first time I have seen them since Gordon and I divorced last year.
But the show was good, all the faves and when singing the folk song "500 Miles", Joan Baez came up on stage quietly and sang with them.
It was the first time in over 40 years Peter & Gordon have played in Los Angeles, and same for singing that song accompanied by Joan Baez. Quite a surprise.
Here are some pics of the night on the Pier with the new solar ferris wheel permeating the night with changing colours and a summer carnival atmosphere.
