Summer bird pics

This is a goldfinch that was at my feeders this summer. He must have gotten hurt in a birdfight or something, because he was blind. I was able to get right up next to him, as long as I was quiet. I've posted some of these before, so some of y'all may have seen them already.

 

I know everyone is overwhelmed with pics to look at right now, so I'm not expecting anyone to try to comment. If you just want to that's fine and thanks, but don't worry about it if you don't have time. The 10 points per pic is what I'm trying for anyway.

I know that there is a House Finch eye disease and was wondering if Gold Finch get it too I had a few House and Gold Finches who were blind in one eye and they seemed to rub that eye againist branches alot. It's so sad to see such a beautiful animal suffer.

I love birdwatching... we usually do it in the winter for some reason. Maybe because there is really nothing else to do here in the winter lol. Gorgeous pictures though, and I feel the same way about mine, I'm hoping to get my first 3K points with the summer picture promo, and I would never want anyone to go through that many of my pics and try to comment!
