Summerpics- My Granddaughter's First Overnight Visit With Me

Last month my granddaughter from the coast got to stay overnight 2 nights with me. I was so excited as now she will be able to associate me with a place, a home, my cats, etc. I visit her every 6-8 weeks but she had only been here when she was an infant.

My other grandkids had a great time showing her around their house too.  Madison and I went to Silverwood one day. It's a big amusement park about 45 miles from here. Her mom had bought the tickets for us.

I'm hoping that maybe next year she could come for a week. 

Please do not feel that you need to comment on any or all of the pictures.  I'm not trying to win a prize and just wanted to post these pictures in a group rather than individually.

She's so cute, and I know that this was a big deal for all of you. I'm so glad this happened, and a week would be a fun thing to look forward to. The pictures are great...looks like a good time was had by all.

We have watched the kids grow even every six weeks we see changes. We always want to see each and every picture of the children. Myself I almost feel like a third grandma or Aunt.

No, I certainly did NOT make the dress. You can buy princess dresses at the store and Caty has some. My son in law had bought one for Madison last year and her picture is posted here on Gather wearing her Snow White dress. But that one is at her dad's house.

I think this one is the Cinderella dress.

Ha! Who knows you may have been in line behind my niece and her daughter at Silverwood! They went this last week, too. My Great niece is 15! See, my sisters are only a couple years older than me, but they all had children before the age of 25...mine were born when I was much, much older!

So glad you got to spend more "normal" time with your grandbaby Wilma!! Looks like they all had a wonderful time. I have 4 grandchildren that I can't see that live in ARK due to hard feelings w/ my son who divorced and remarried. I miss them so very, very much!! Have missed talking with you Wilma!

Love this little photo essay Wilma, the kids are so cute, and I can tell they are enjoying being with Grandma, and I know Grandma is loving it too. I used to love it when the little grandchildren came over, have some new pictures of my new great grandbabies I should put up I guess, keep forgetting I took them, busy time for me, Suzi is here for another week, and on the go all the time, not a lot of Gathering getting done, but both napping right now, so before I get startied cooking dinner, thought I would drop around and see what is going on, Take care Wilma, love, Elsie

My grandkids are all here... they came after school hours yesterday and decided to stay overnight. We were up very late last night telling made up adventure stories about their WebKinz pets so, they are still asleep! Aren't sleep-overs great?

Duckie, I'm glad your grandkids can stay over. I only have the 3 nearby. Most of my grandkids are in their teens or older and don't live near here.

It looks like all the kids had a great time. I never got to stay over at either one of my grandparents' houses, so I am trying to make sure that my kids don't miss out on that opportunity. I'm glad that she got to have a sleepover at Grandma's, so that some day she won't feel like she missed out on anything, either.
