Tinnitus which in layman's term means 'ringing ears' is a medical condition in which certain parts of the ear itself sends audio signals to the brain. The brain interprets it as a sound but audible only to the human ears. Some people are hearing constant ringing in the ears and no one else hears it, except for the person himself who experiences tinnitus. Some people can do away with it but some suffer the pain that comes along with the noise. There are many studies on the causes for ringing ears and ringing ears cure.
Exposure to excessive noise, ear wax build-up, poor blood circulation, aging, increase in blood pressure, accidents, stress, and ear infections are only some of the causes for ringing ears. Excessive noise irritates the ear drums. This can lead to gradual, sometimes immediate, and long term damage such as constant ringing in the ears. Another cause is ear wax build-up. This happens when a person does not practice proper hygiene. The ear produces wax that contains dirt coming from the inside of the ears. If there is too much ear wax inside, it can lead to infection, thus damaging the ears.
Poor blood circulation is also a factor leading to tinnitus. Our Blood contains the vitamins, nutrients, anti-bodies and minerals that our body needs in order to survive. If it circulates poorly, the ears may not have the adequate substances in order to function. Once the ear does not function very well, problems come in. High blood pressure is another contributing factor to ringing ears. Pressure is constantly present within our bodies. Increase in blood pressure can damage the ears by giving more than enough force to the membranes and other parts of the ear.
There are many things that come with aging. Along with it are various illnesses and one of which is presbycusis which can lead to tinnitus. As one grows old, the tissues in the body weaken, including the ones in our ears, leading to a difficulty in hearing, and therefore, causing the unwanted ringing in the ears. Accidents can implicitly cause this condition as well. When the ear is damaged, the ear tries to repair itself. This causes the noise being heard within the head. Stress is another contributing factor. Stress releases chemicals that can harm the body. These chemicals can later lead to damaging not only the ears but causing tumors as well.
As always, prevention is better than cure. The causes for ringing ears can be prevented. One has to take good care of oneself in order to avoid cases such as this. Proper hygiene, exercise, having a positive outlook in life, decreased exposure to loud noise and other practical ways of taking care of oneself is all worth it in preventing any diseases including constant ringing in the ears.
