Can you find this spider's eighth leg?

My husband removed the pillows on my bench outside and this is what he found. I was completly grossed out, but he thought it was really cool. If you look closely into the web you can see spider eggs.

that's pretty interesting! i would think it's cool too! spiders help get rid of the nasty bugs so i don't hate them!

I count 8 legs. There is 3 in the front and 5 in the back. I hate spiders, but my cats love them. :)

Margieanne, the eighth leg is in the nest. Where you see the 5 legs in the back, one is a shadow on my bench. He was actually using that eight leg to move around the eggs in the nest.
