I like the idea of the ones they put with drawings or paintings.... name begins with a r...I am not EVEN gonna try to remember the right word right now....

and then I was reading on the punctuation....used..so would an exclaimation mark at the end of the first line work? I don't remember if it counts as a syllable?
Louanne, this is lovely. Telling stories to babes? Good contrast and that little "leap" between concepts is what makes HaiKu so compelling. I struggle every time I try to write one, cause I don't know when to hush-down. I'm not very good at concepts, a little better with "story poems."

I think what I like right now the most about hai ku..is that it is supposed to contain reference to the season it is written in.... the first thing that inspired this...was Ellies pics of her trip to Kalispell and the snow...mixed with my memories of it as a small child.... the second inspiration...was my neighbors grandson...peeking at me through the car window as she and I talked along the road in passing...she had him for the weekend..and was telling me of how her son forgot to bring the crib...so he had to sleep with her..and he kept waking up... well and its summer here..LOL
