Of all the doors we could have chosen to go through, Scotland was the perfect place for us. Beauty, gardens, bed and breakfasts, castles, churches, and ... of course... golf.

We saw many doors on our journey... doors to churches filled with awe.

Doors to days gone by...

We saw doors to places of worship...

Doors that fit us to a tee.

We saw doors of many colors, shapes and sizes.

We found doors to secret gardens...

We saw a delightful doorway to the sea...

We saw doors from the sea to inner sanctums - dark and awe-inspiring...

We found that seeing a door to a different world can lead to a different perspective.

We found doors that led to peaceful sanctuaries...

Doors that opened up to the hustle bustle of the city...

We saw doors that led to battered, besieged castles...

Doorways to palaces -- empty and austere...

There were doorways to castles filled with finery...

And doors through which we saw surprises, some far off in the distance...

We saw doors that led to distant times...

We saw doors that led to cozy homes....

And thankfully, we saw doorways that once entered, changed our way of looking at things forever...
