Gather has changed so much since I was here last it took me 30 minutes to find a way to add a new post. Whew.
It's been a very creative and busy summer for me. I met a sculptor named David Brunetta and he's been helping me design a dagger handle for a pattern welded blade I won in a raffle years ago.
I've also been working with wire and weaving baskets and jewelry. I have three Etsy shops now and it's a challenge to keep them all in new inventory.
I've been designing some fun felt pins. So far I've done a pink scotty dog, a pink skull and crossbones on a green background, and an unassuming little brown star for all those people that tell me they'd buy from me if only my colors weren't so bright.
I also keep a daily craft blog. http://craftaday.blogspot.com/ If you want to see more of my craft photos that is where they will be. I have over 50 blogs so it doesn't leave a lot of time for Gather.
Yesterday I made two remote caddies for my couch because I'm tired of playing 'search for the remote controls' every night. Now the cats can't knock them off and they won't get kicked under the couch. And it gives me a safe place to put them when I fold out the sleeper sofa.
My daughter is expecting her first child in Sept. so then things will get busy all over again. She's having a boy so I need to get busy and make a new sock monkey. I had one already but then I remembered the button eyes won't work for babies so it's back to the drawing board. I do have a blue crocheted panda bear with felt eyes so I can give the little tyke that one right away.
Back to the art stuff. See you later.
