**** An Exciting Political Thriller with Paranormal Overtones
Review by Douglas Quinn, Author of Blue Heron Marsh, etal (www.douglasquinn.com).
A supposedly disbanded secret CIA program is resurrected. Highly placed government officials are implicated in terrorist acts. An FBI agent, Jamaica Kurtz, recently back on duty from a near death experience, in charge of one aspect of the case, unilaterally and without authorization, expands her investigation. Her near death experience, a bullet to the head, has left her with visions of those she is investigating. Her best friend, Rosetta Calendar, is prepared to deceive Jamaica, even kill her, all to save her career with the CIA. Someone in the White House with political motivations is suspected of running the secret home-grown terrorist organization that calls itself the RSFA-the Restoration to Sovereignty and Freedom Alliance. A New York cop named Raymond Kilgore becomes involved when he is kidnapped by a rogue member of the terrorists named Larry David "L.D." Westerman. Kilgore has recently beat cancer, but will he live through this ordeal? And there is the pale woman known as The Ghost. Who is she and what is her place in the events as they unfold?
While there are a number of editorial faux pas, they didn't take away from the fast-paced story telling reminiscent of James Patterson, with short chapters, shifting points of view and cliff-hanger endings. Even though early on I targeted the prime suspect in the White House, I still wasn't prepared for the major twist and surprise ending that the author served up.
The Friday House is an exciting political thriller with paranormal overtones. I recommend it. To find out more about the author and his other works, visit www.dkgaston.com.

I have noticed editorial faux pas in many books. TV News, too, is rife with grammar errors, especially in tense agreement.
