Drew Barrymore ate in my restaurant!

Drew Barrymore (of E.T. fame for those my age and lots of other great movies) is in Michigan directing a film a couple of miles from where I live.  They're keeping the set secure and not letting anyone see much (though there have been carloads of people driving by every day). 

Imagine how excited everyone was when she came to the restaurant where I work for dinner Monday night!  She came with a couple of guys from the crew, and while I wasn't here, everyone who met her said she was so nice, posed for pictures, etc...  I also heard she was super-skinny and smoked like a fiend. 

Fun, eh?

Hopefully she'll come back when you are working. I love her movies. I would be excited to meet her. She seems like a nice person on and off screen from what I read about her.

How fun... I have to say I was shocked when you said she smoked. I forgot other states allow smoking in public places.

Yes, Michigan and Wisonsin both allow smoking in public places. Of course, I think that is because in the dead of winter, they can't ask anybody to go outside and smoke. It would be too cold. My son used to work in a factory, and they could work while smoking. That is a first.
