Our comparison story is fun. My daughter looked like me. Because she is not the same color, few people noticed. Her daughter is my color, so many people talk about how much she looks like me, but don't notice that she looks just like her mother.

But the granddaughter noticed. I've had this picture of her mother hanging somewhere in my house since she was born. When she was about the same age, she would study that picture and ask, "What color are my eyes?" or "What color is my hair?" She obviously thought that picture was of her and couldn't figure out why her eyes and hair were not the right colors.
I apologize for the quality of the pictures, and to my daughter for the bangs.

Where'd those cheeks come from? Your photos don't show those lovely pinchable cheeks. You do, however, have excellent cheek bones...
Can't wait to see the updated post with your baby pics on here.
Thanks for sharing.
I'll have to look in the mirror and see if these extra twenty pounds are showing in my cheeks yet.
The one in this picture started second grade last week. She also told me last week that she is writing her first "non-fiction" book about politics. She will allow me the honor of being the second author this project if I agree that we must have illustrators because, "Children like to see pictures in their books."
I might have to start taking out baby pics and compare them!
Thanks, Sonia and Sheryl. I enjoy the grandchildren more all the time. They're all old enough (5 - 10) to have serious conversations now and I love hearing how their little minds think and develop opinions.
What a couple of little darlings. I cannot wait until your picture is up. Hopefully I'm around to catch it!
The kindergartener came home today and informed her second-grade sister that she is also an author. Her class is writing a story together. But then she said, "I'm really just coloring." The older said that's okay, she can be an illustrator.
They do look amazingly alike, and I'm eager to see you complete the trio when you can.
There are no baby photos of moi (leading to the running joke of my being adopted) so I can't compare generations, and since I only have sons, they wouldn't necessarily appreciate that anyway, I think. But, if I come across some photos of my brothers and husband when they were young and find a corresponding son photo, I'll share.
I've always been sound-oriented, though, and I mostly notice that my sons' voices are much like my brothers'.
