In those days they still used coin in the machines.
I would sit down at a machine, put a five dollar bill in and if the machine didn't pay? I would cash out to move on. Imagine my delight at reaching down into the money return and finding rolls and rolls of quarter coin.
This happened MANY times. People would drink, play for a while and then move on. A lot of those times they left their rolls of money in the machines.
Sometimes drunks are a good thing!

On several occasions coming in on the cheaper 'red-eye' flight at three or four AM I have stayed up all night and watched the sun rise over the town and sen it sort of come as close to shutting down as it ever does.
Wish I'd taken Ben up on it and gone lo'those many years ago.
