I am in the dog house with my wife. I had an opportunity to get a great deal on a motorcycle. I get urges to buy motorcycles all the time, and this is really getting on my wife's nerves. But she usually gives in to me.
My wife did not want me to buy this new motorcycle, because we have a lot of expenses coming up but I convinced her that it was a great deal at only $500.00. Since it was only $500.00 she agreed to it.
After I got the bike I took it to a friend to have it fixed, it ended up costing another $300.00 to fix. Now my wife is hopping mad.
She says I could have waited to get the bike fixed till next year. Of course was anxious to ride it but is correct, we had to scale down my son's birthday party significantly because I did this, and we were not able to make a purchase for the whole family that we had planned on making.
So my motorcycle obsession has got me in the dog house again. I am hoping I make enough Gather earnings to help fix things with my wife.

Suggest you sign some sort of contract that you will lay off the motorcycle purchases for at least two years. She MIGHT have forgiven you by that time...but here's a 10 to help you on your way....
Peeps? Don't automatically make Robert the bad guy without knowing what their whole situation is.
There is no law saying that kids have to be given ton's of toys for their birthdays or have elablorate birthday parties. There's nothing wrong with scaling down a bit. Dad's deserve their toys, too. There are a lot of dad's out there that give and give and give, but don't ever get things for themselves. If you're one of those dads, then KUDOS to you for getting yourself something. Next time get a brand new one or at least a reliable used one. Motorcycles aren't just for dads anyways. There is a such a thing as a back seat that the kids/mom can sit on and take rides with dad on. It can be something the family CAN enjoy.
I can certainly understand the motorcycle obsession/fever. My husband had it for a long time, then he bought a brand new one. I was so jealous that I got myself one, too. A used one, though. Now, the whole family goes out on rides and have a great time. And no, we aren't rich or even well off, but we adjusted our budget to where we can afford them and we're doing fine.
I don't know if you deserve being in the dog house or not, but I hope you get to ride your bike real soon and enjoy it without feeling guilty.
Vrroooom-Vrroooom
A bike will save you a bunch in gas!
lol
good luck!
But, I would forgive him quickly if it had to do with a motorcycle.
I love those things. They are sooo cool..
Oops, I had better not tempt you again.
Bye.
I do think every parent should be allowed to indulge--occasionally--but not at the expense of the rest of the family.
Good luck!
