Hey, MC and Kerrell, I have heard some really bad stuff about Safari - enough to keep me far, far away from it. I am a subscriber to Kim Komando, who is a digital guru. You can check out her website at www.komando.com. She has lots of people working for her who scour the internet testing out sites and she writes a column, plus has two radio shows. She really knows her stuff. I trust her. You may want to check it out. Safari has a lot of loopholes that make it easy for hackers to get into your computer.

Safari has a lot of nice features, but if you're posting to Gather, it's not the browser to use as it really does limit your formatting options greatly. I also had a problem on my former PC with it freezing. When I use it on my Mac, I don't have problems with it except if I try to access my Hotmail account, for which it is useless; Apple and Microsoft aren't exactly on friendly terms in any sense.

I have Safri on my computer and use it occasionally. Does great for me! I generally use Firefox. Quit using IE when I had a malware problem affecting it that took a while to resolve. It is resolved but I've never gone back to IE.

I have it on my iTouch and it works pretty well on it. My problem with using it on the laptop is that I have a lot of add ons that I need on firefox that aren't available for Safari.

Interesting article. But I think I'll stick with my Firefox for now. I really love it and would never go back to IE. Although sadly, there are still sites that will only work for IE. Thanks for sharing and peace.

I thought it had a cleaner, fresher look ... but I honestly didn't use it long enough to indulge in its features. I've been thrilled with IE's multiple tabs thus far, but if Safari offers that as well, I may switch altogether. Looks like I'll be playing with it. I think I'll go do that now! :)

Safari is probably no less rifled with security holes than Internet Explorer is.

There are numerous alternatives to the Firefox - IE - Safari browsers.
Just be careful where you download from. People will package legit stuff with malicious stuff.
