The beach in Barcelona is very clean and very well-used.
The water is blue. I never saw a blue ocean until I saw the Mediterranean. The water is so clear you can see the bottom in 5 feet of water. The water is full of what looks like sparkles. And it's cold!
The fish is a Barcelona landmark. I have no idea what it is, but I saw it.
Barcelona is a very old city, and parts of it look positively medieval.
Barcelona is also known for an architect named Gaudi; much of the architecture is.
These pics were taken in Las Ramblas, an area of open-air markets and cafes popular with tourists.
These are street performers. They stand stock-still like statues. People give them money for posing with them in pictures.
This man made the little boy jump a second later when he stomped his foot suddenly.
This conquistador came and escorted me to his stand. I was in love!

It's Gaudi not Gaudy and it refers to the architect Antoni Gaudi who is known worldwide for his modernist style of architecture. His buildings were meant to be fantastic and highly individualistic in design.
