I got the camera out today. So I thought I would share a few of my new additions to the garden this year.
Anise Hyssops and Sun Chokes by the front porch. I rather like my surroundings to be edible.

Stevia, or sweet leaf tastes 100 times sweeter than sugar and is safe for diabetics( but please ask your doctor first). You can just pull part of a leaf and chew on it and it is sweeter than candy!
Being the sugar addict that I am, I have good reason for attempting to keep one of these babies alive....I am gonna try it in my coffee and tea and see if I can cut back on sugar. It is a tender plant, so I will have to keep it safe this winter.

(thats my new Kenya basil peeking in the front corner)
I AM IN LOVE with my new Curry Plant! It smells and tastes just like Curry and grows like a rosemary! I must admit I love to just stick my whole face down in the plant!

Red Roselle! It is an edible Hibiscus. Fruity flavored leaves can be used for tea and cold drinks and produces a white rose of sharon type flower. Thats my curly parsley planted at its feet!

I found out I can grow Bolivean Jew this winter while tending a plant for a lady in my hot house. If is could survive Missouri winter outside, I would have a problem. It grows anywhere it drops, seriously.
I also joined the ranks of Chick and Hen growers.

and...my last little suprise this year....was a beautiful impatience that came up from a lil ole cheap packet of seeds from the dollar store.(See my foot...lol....)
