The National Zoo is Huge (163 acres)! We didn't even see half of it. We'll have to go back again.
The stars of the show at the National Zoo are their three Giant Pandas. We saw them lounging, eating and showing off!
The Red Pandas are one of my favorites! They're soo cute!
Did you know that the Giant Anteater's tongue can be up to 2 feet long? That's a long way to stick out your tongue!
It was a hot day and lots of the animals were taking naps, just like this regal Lion.
I think it's time for us to go home for a nap too! See you next time!

We went to Washington once and we missed the zoo. We spent all day at the Air and Space Museum and The Smithsonian. You seriously need like 10 days to get through everything there is to do! I heard that their zoo is one of the best in the country. I can't believe people ever go to the one in B-more because this one is free.
We will go again someday but I think this time we will try to get a train into the city. We got an awesome parking spot all day long but getting there was scary!
