Both are good, the second more general. BTW, I think Crestview elevation ~230 ft is higher than Lake Wales elevation ~130 ft. But you may hold the high ground on the peninsula. Stay safe.

Someone sent me a link this morning, but I like yours better. Well, you know my daughter is in Orlando, in an apartment building...she isn't too worried yet as we rode one out at the Marriott World Center once. They are starting to get ready at the Disney Hotels where she works. I don't like the idea she may have to drive in the horrible wind/rain...so, if it really gets bad in Orlando, we are going to have her stay at the hotel. I'm more worried about my parents, on Siesta Key at Sarasota...not looking good there at all, but they won't leave unless there is a mandatory evacuation. Be careful...I've been through 2 down there, and that wind is something else. What people don't realize is that the tornados that come before and after are sometimes the worst part.

Wehre are you sandy? I think sue they will be on the left side of the storm which is the best place to be. click on the link go to the top where it says tropical storms/hurricanes and click there and then scroll down to fay and click on models. That should give you some idea as time goes on.

Not likely but will be a slightly windy event but 8 to 10 inches of rain. What the biggest concern where am is is spin off tornados from the storm as it looks like we are in the perfect place for them.

Siesta Key? Fay should make land fall South of them and they should be just fine.

Most like near Port Charlotte as it looks right now. They computer models are jelling and not all over the place as the once were.

Its after 4pm here and getting very grey outside and very humid. Dew point is 74 and that is oppressive. We have had a few outer bands of showers but nothing really expected to pick up for 6 to 8 hours here. I have my back pack packed lol pet food wallet phone book etc. Meds. But I dont think I will take shelter anywhere else.

I was on active duty in 1963 and we road out a hurrican at sea in a destroyer, we were really getting batted around by the storm. Thanks for sharing..

midnight and all is still well here just woke up so I could be up during the storm. Rain is 45 miles south and we are under a tornado watch until 8am. Keep you posted. Now I understand the DB"s on the poll but who out there could on this one.

Not too far denise and it wasnt too bad here either but lets not get complacent yet Fay isnt quite finished with Florida yet. And hurricane season especially the peak is not here yet.

I have 2 beagles - girls - Sassy and Suzy.
They are very sweet and we were all worried about your fur babies.
I also have several cats too and some birds.
I understand about how important they are. They are like our kids. We commited to love them and take care of them. Just like kids, they didn't ask to live with us.

I have an uncle that lives in Florida on the Gulf where the bump is. Gustov is heading his way now.
