I found it interesting to note that Senator John McCain WASN'T in a 'sound-proofed' room after all during the Saddleback Church event.
Seriously.
This is really hard to believe, but why should we be surprised?
During the discussion he admitted the "failure" of his first marriage---you know, committing adultery during his first marriage---let's see that's the Seventh Commandment I believe.
And lying?
That's the Ninth Commandment.
So while telling the world what a great Christian he was, McCain was busy breaking two of the 'big ten' during this event.
This stuff is hard to make up.
As this article reports:
"ORLANDO, Fla. - Senator John McCain was not in a "cone of silence" on Saturday night while his rival, Senator Barack Obama, was being interviewed at the Saddleback Church in California.
Members of the McCain campaign staff, who flew here Sunday from California, said Mr. McCain was in his motorcade on the way to the church as Mr. Obama was being interviewed by the Rev. Rick Warren, the author of the best-selling book "The Purpose Driven Life."
The matter is of interest because Mr. McCain, who followed Mr. Obama's hourlong appearance in the forum, was asked virtually the same questions as Mr. Obama. Mr. McCain's performance was well received, raising speculation among some viewers, especially supporters of Mr. Obama, that he was not as isolated during the Obama interview as Mr. Warren implied.
Nicolle Wallace, a spokeswoman for Mr. McCain, said on Sunday night that Mr. McCain had not heard the broadcast of the event while in his motorcade and heard none of the questions.
"The insinuation from the Obama campaign that John McCain, a former prisoner of war, cheated is outrageous," Ms. Wallace said.
Before an audience of more than 2,000 people at the church, the candidates answered questions about policy and social issues.
Mr. Warren, the pastor of Saddleback, had assured the audience while he was interviewing Mr. Obama that "we have safely placed Senator McCain in a cone of silence" and that he could not hear the questions.
After Mr. Obama's interview, he was joined briefly by Mr. McCain, and the candidates shook hands and embraced.
Mr. Warren started by asking Mr. McCain, "Now, my first question: Was the cone of silence comfortable that you were in just now?"
Mr. McCain deadpanned, "I was trying to hear through the wall."
Interviewed Sunday on CNN, Mr. Warren seemed surprised to learn that Mr. McCain was not in the building during the Obama interview."
Give me a break. BECAUSE he was POW he couldn't lie? Or maybe, just maybe the REST of his staff, his speech-writers and advisers listened to the Obama portion and maybe just maybe they suggested a few things.
And how did Warren and his staff NOT KNOW that he wasn't where he was supposed to be? Was there EVER a place for McCain to be out of listening range? Or was the whole thing a set-up for Obama?
This stuff is really creepy. Is this the guy you want to elect for President? What a great American!

missed it by that much
I'd vote for Alfred E. Neuman before I voted for BO, any time any place. He's married to a racist and I don't believe he's much better than his wife.
G'nite. Flame away all ya want. I'm done with this post anyway.
And by the way... I'm an equal opportunity politician hater. They are ALL corrupt, if not before the election, then shortly thereafter.
And the lying though was right then and there.
But you think Michelle Obama is a racist? And that's why you don't want to vote for Obama?
Whatever.
When Bush claimed a hot line to god it should have woke up the deluded followers of the neocon criminals.
Not a big deal. I liked the answers from both candidates. They stayed true to their core beliefs. I liked McCain's answers on the Supreme Court Justices. People can decide now. He is 100% pro-life. Would appoint the type of judges who will overturn Roe v. Wade. No flip flop. He was direct and I like that. For people to decide now. Want million more bastards who are likely to end up in jails that we will pay for? Anyone read Freakonomics and recalls the correlation between crime rate and Roe v. Wade?
McCain often didn't even let Rev. Warren finish his questions before answering them. I don't think I want somebody who has such a short attention that he can't even listen to someone else in a conversation, talking to world leaders who may have their finger on the the button that will lead to our mass annhilation.
I prefer someone who doesn't rely on a general to receive all his information about how the world operates and who actually thinks before he blurts out the first brain fart that he can access.
Are you implying that Obama wouldn't listen to the Gernerals? Oh wait we already know that. Never mind.
