I think I have a theory of how to tell which one is the winning piece of the Subway's Scrabble game.
I have had about 10 subways so far, since they started the Scrabble game. I won a 21 oz drink, and a cookie, for the instant win part. I noticed that the texture of the game pieces is different. The winning pieces are real "stickers" on the inside, and have a feel of smooth paper on the outside. The non-winning pieces are "plastic cling" on the inside, and have a feel of slippery plastic on the outside. Technically, if my theory is correct, then I can identify the winning piece from touching the outside of the game piece.
Of course I can't just go to a Subway and touch all the game pieces on the wrappers and request that they use a particular one to wrap my sandwich. My husband said if a Subway employee found out about this, they could pull out all the winning pieces to keep for themselves.
So, if you get a winning piece, let us know if it feels like a paper sticker!
