I wake with him
Go to sleep with him
Live with him
I try to keep him  hidden from others
He's my constant unwelcome companion
I try to go on despite him
I pretend I don't have him around
He brings his friend Depression with him
He tries to stop me from enjoying my life
I try to overcome them both
I refuse to have a pity party about him
He motivates me to uplift others lives
He  is the cross I've had to bear
I'm looking forward to Heaven where I'll live without him.

Chronic pain is the worst, but after 28 years of it, I have decided that I had to find something, anything positive about it, so I started thinking hey it helps remind me that I am still alive and better then the alternative! :)

I've had chronic pain for 2 years now and that's more than enough for me. I don't know how people live with this for years and years???
