Are you a Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime?
People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a
lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know
what to do for each person.
REASON:
When someone is in your life for a REASON. . .
It is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come
to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance
and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are! They are there for
the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an
inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring
the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die.
Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire
fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered.
And now it is time to move on.
SEASON:
When people come into your life for a SEASON it is because your
turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an
experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you
something you have never done. They usually give you an
unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real!
But, only for a season.
LIFETIME:
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you
must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what
you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of
your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Thank you for being a part of my life.
Stop here and just SMILE.
Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
And dance like no one is watching.

This was sent to me by a girlfriend via the internet. I hope that you enjoy this as much as I did when I received it.

This is a lovely way to begin my day
I know no one like that but do have some friends that I have known since high school that I communicate with on a regular basis. :)
Yes I do believe that whoever penned this poem, certainly knew what they were talking about.
I guess I'm too old now for anyone to care about having me as a friend for a lifetime. Anyone is welcome to be my friend for the rest of my lifetime though. ;)
I will go and buy the mic and camera either later today or tomorrow. I had planned on doing it yesterday but since my Mom was in the hospital for two weeks it set my schedule back and I am playing like heck to catch up.
I WILL be in touch by Sunday, God willing.
I'm so glad that you liked this.
All of the people who come into my life are special to me in their own right is my feeling as well.
I do have friends that I have had since high school which is over 30 years so I would consider them to be quasi lifetime friends.
Regardless, thank you for posting it and reminding us that there ARE reasons, seasons, and lifetimes.
I am glad that you stopped by to read it again. :)
The end, I particularly like, is my creed these days - how I've chosen to try to live the rest of my life. I certainly give it hell I can tell you that!
"Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
And dance like no one is watching."

Just know that the feelings are always mutual! ;)
It has always been sad for me to lose a friendship but remember the good times that we shared and never the negative. I have primarily lost friends because of their moving from my area or their jobs taking them somewhere. Of course there are also those friends that I have lost because I or they have simply outgrown each other and that is cool too.
My grandmother was practically my lifetime. She died after I graduated from high school. But, before that, she taught me so many wonderful things. She taught me to love everyone equally. To be myself, and ask for what I want.
And, then there's my friends, who have come for a reason. To lift me up, and guide me on my journey as a writer.
Then, there's my season friends. That are there for enough time to get me writing, focused and whole again! Then, they are gone again.
