Protesting in Costume

On CNN.com is a news story about Disney protesters that were arrested during a protest wearing Disney character costumes.

The question I ask you today is actually two questions.

Should protesters worn the Disney character costumes during their protest? What effect will this have on the children of the families that were watching the arrest or see it on their local news?

They probably should not have been wearing the costumes, but I feel for them and what they are fighting for. They also should not have held signs saying shame on Mickey either. Although I disagree with the wearing of the costumes. I do think they had good reason to picket.

Sorry, I meant to thank you for sharing this story. With all the money Disney World must bring in it is a shame they don't take better care of their workers.

If they had a grievance, wearing the costumes did not help them. They should have had the foresight of what children would think. Bad form!

My son would have been confused. He'd probably ask to help out Mickey Mouse! He's already petrified of police, so he'd probably have been pretty traumatized by the incident.
