my first sunset

hello all...  jim and i went to Cocoa Beach Florida last week for a 36 hour stay...

these are pics of my first sunset (on the west side) not actually the beach...:(((

i missed the beach sunset by an hour or so... hehe... crazy me...

Necee, that sunset is absolutely breathtaking, fantastic framing!

And the beach.......well..............frankly, I'm quite jealous, that looks like a dream, for now I'm going to have to make do in my getting to go out and twirl in the rain of the flash storm we had this evening, lol!!

thank you all... we had a great time until we got back and found a mouse in the house... that put a damper on things... i did not sleep for 3 days until i was able to get rid of him with some yummy poison... i did not want to, but it was either him or me... hahaha...

Gorgeous Necee! Cocoa Beach is where we went a few years ago! It was my first time to see the ocean, except from up in an airplane! That is where we were when a rouge wave came in and tried to take my sister in law back out with it, wheelchair and all! I wrote a post about once.

oh dear Debby... that was scary for you ...sheeesh... those waves can get quite rough for sure... it's very pretty, but can be kinda dangerous too... lately people have been bitten by sharks near Daytona and New Smyrna beaches... that's scary...

Cocoa is a great place to get away for a day, for us. (It's just over an hour from us.) We are talking about going this weekend, actually. Nothing like the beach for total relaxation and even for exercise! I walked on the beach for at least a mile each direction, last time we were there.

Yes very georgous sunset Necee. Better batten down the hatches now. Tropical storm Faith is on its way, mad at Florida in a big way. I am still shaking at the scare from Edquardo here. Those tropical storms seem to hurt worse than the Hurricanes. It is messing with Cuba now.

I am getting worried about all my friends in Florida. I have called my son there early this morning. He said just a lot of rain and high winds now and then. He said he had all the equipment to keep running. No need to batten the hatches. He had aluminum shutters that could be shut from the outside. I guess when you are in a gated community they make better designs for living in hurricane states. He had generators and water purifiers.
Camping equipment. Had though about going and buying a small window a/c.
