I didn't get far enough along yet to pick out a shelter in my area. The first shelter that I pulled up in my town is within a mile of my house. I didn't even know it was there. I started looking at the items they need and shredded paper was one of them. I drive by there all the time and I've just been throwing my shredded paper away! They also needed empty ink cartridges and newspaper. I've been saving my ink cartridges tring to find somewhere that wanted them and there it was!

Thanks for posting this. Not only will I sign up and send a shelter in my area but now I can help out more by giving them my shredded paper, newspaper and ink cartridges. Just goes to prove, one man's trash is another man's treasure. there's a need for most of the stuff we throw away every day.

Last night, we adopted 3 kittens from a no-kill shelter. With them, we were given a stash of coupons, pet food samples, a big container to put food in, pet food scoops, and a full size can of oust!

I'll forward this onto them!
