I will be moving with my children come this feb 1st when my lease is up and will be moving closer to where my family is... I was wondering if there are gatherers in Grand Radids, Kentwood, Wyoming and other lying areas that could give me some insight....
It has been quite some time since I have lived there, but I will be moving back.. It will most likely be into some type of low income or lower rental... I am looking to rent, but want to stay away from BAD neighborhoods and schools...
What I need your help with is to get some insight into which areas are good and which ones to completely stay away from...

Alpine is getting bad, steer clear from York Creek apartments. Division is an area to avoid, from Grand Rapids down to Kentwood.
Grandville has some great schools, and isn't too far from the highway on 131 & 28th street. It's a nicer area, but more expensive, as well. Not sure if there is any subsidized housing or not.
Trish, you know what- you do yahoo groups, right? Have you become a member of the Michigan Tightwads group? There is a large concentration of people from the Grand Rapids area, so there are people who will know first hand all sorts of areas.
