Stewart-Haas pick up driver for 09 season

The announcement is to be make at Michigan Speedway Friday at 10:30am ET. Yes I will be there! Ryan Newman will be joining Tony Stewart at Stewart-Haas racing for the 2009 season.

Ryan Newman will be driving the #4 car. Sponsors are unclear right now.

I have been waitting for weeks to hear who the second driver was going to be. Just like most others I thought it would be Ryan, but things change so fast around the track. But its offical, Ryan will be Tonys team mate next year.

I think it is a smart move for Stewart-Haas Racing. What do you think?

I figured it would be Newman...what an interesting combination. I don't know how I feel about it...I'm glad that Stewart is back in a Chevy though.
