UPDATE AUGUST 14: Here's the link, it's online now.

A quickie, guys, on Wednesday morning no less. John Grisham picked three stories as winners in a fiction contest last March, announced at the Virginia Book Festival in Charlottesville. My stories had won second and third place. The HooK spaces out the publication, but this week, AUGUST 13, is the issue with my story Dancing on the Ledge. You can find it at www.readthehook.com after 5 pm tonight, Wed, August 13. Then tell me what you think. The HooK editor called it 'erotic, in a wierd way.' He said it called to mind an Edward Hopper painting of a woman alone in a motel room, sitting unclothed by the window. I know lots of my fellow Gather writers will say, Honenberger doesn't write erotic. So you better check it out. (See, I can be funny too).

Congratulations, Sarah!
SueB: I loved Time to Kill. He has that talent to be able to make a story out of one little thing. And he loves action, but I am more of a character driven writer myself.
I didn't read that one by him. Will have to look that up.
damn! -kudos, Sarah!
i hadn't seen you in these parts in quite some time; typed your name in the Gather Search, wondering...
...and came across this (after two reviews by somebody else--Sheila Deeth, maybe).
good, good news.
