Coffee frappachino's. Those sweet, creamy, cold drinks with a hint of coffee. I love them. What can I say? I have been slowly making healthier decisions with my purchases at Starbucks though. No more whipped cream! Sometimes I get a grande versus my usual venti. My average frapp is between 1-2 a week. Has anyone tried out their new Vivanno smoothies? They are actually good and healthy at the same time. It surprises me that they are getting on the health kick. It is about time. Well, anyway, back onto my coffee, toffee nut syrup, venti frappachino, double blended with no whipped cream. I had one today. It tasted good but I have been noticing my body rejecting them, especially if I didn't have much to eat or nothing to eat before I have one.
For breakfast, I ate 1/2 of a large Fuji apple. Fuji apples happened to be one of my favorites. I usually skip breakfast which I know is terrible for me. I am often still sleeping as breakfast passes me by. Along with my frapp that I sipped on half the day I also had half of turkey pesto sandwich for lunch. The other half for dinner. For dessert afterwards I enjoyed 5 Pepperidge Farm Milano Mint cookies. I know, I know, not a very healthy day.
What is sad is I used to be a vegan and I know what I should and should not be eating. I even went to health ministry training to become a health minister of a diet I will not mention because I do not endorse it fully anymore. I had lost too much weight on this diet and became sick in several ways and had to start eating meat again to gain weight. Well, long story short, I have gained my weight back and some more. If I come across a photo of what I used to look like and my goal to look like again I will be happy to share with you. Until next time, best wishes to all you have joined us.

The apple sounds good, as does that sandwich. I grew up with a vegetarian father (he became one for health reasons when I was very young), so our diet leaned mostly in that direction while in the home, though we did eat fish, eggs, cheese, etc. Periodically in my life I revert back to it, but not because I believe it necessary, rather because I enjoy the foods and don't, at that time, want the meat. I believe in balance for good health, though I don't always follow what I know to be best for my body.
My hubby got a bonus at work for Starbucks for $25.00 at Christmas time and he gave to me as he is a tea drinker. We both don't generally go there because of the insane prices for okay coffee or tea. Perhaps, we are just old-fashioned but we prefer the stuff from our home.
