Do your Gather invites love it as much as you do?

I'm constantly seeing posts about "my mom is on Gather now" and "please welcome my friend so 'n' so".....but then I rarely see 'those' people again.

So when you invite people to join Gather, are they usually the type that will actually enjoy Gather? Or do they tend to wander away and never come back?

I have invited a few family members. My sisters, brother and mother.
My mom still comes around and posts, but neither of my sisters or my brother ever do anymore.
I need to remind them to come back once in awhile...

I only had one response to my invites which are both verbal and by e-mail. They only stayed on for a few weeks. No one else has the time actually between work and kids and other commitments. I think if I was able to drive and get out of the house more I would be here less also.

I've only invited one person, my roommate, and she's on here as much as I am. She wanders around looking for stuff to get with the new Target cards, and I'm on the cash option, so I benefit from the Target cards as well since I live here.

Other than Alexis(Newell), I don't really want other people on here. I like being able to talk about everyone else. :)

I wouldn't really want anyone here that I am close to, so I haven't invited many. I just don't know many close friends that spend as much time as I do online.

The one friend I invite to Gather was essentially one that wandered away and hasn't come back. I don't invite people partly because I don't have many friends to invite and this is not something they would get into.

I've invited many, several joined, most drifted away either sooner or later - the last of these with Hawthorne. My aunt, though, loves it and is pretty active here.

I guess this is one of those places that just grows on you. Sometimes people have different expectations and don't give Gather a try.

I think you have to be on here for awhile, browse, get the feel of the place...then decide.

I have made alot of nice connections and enjoy it here.

Most of my invites are long gone. All except one, and she remains very active (magi.gather.com).

There are many people I would like to invite to the community, but won't until Gather makes some changes....as I would just be wasting their time.

I havent invited anyone.. I've told a few people about it and told them to go to Gather.com and sign up, but none of them have..but that's good, because I like having it be 'my place" :O)

I haven't tried inviting anyone to gather yet. I have been talking to some friends and family about it however, but they haven't really shown any interest sadly :(

I have invited 7 people and announced thier arrival. My daughter is very active on the weekends. Cant use computers at work anymore. Boss threatened to fire everyone caught using company computers except for office business.
One comes and goes sporatically, the others have drifted away. Would rather play on my space and get no rewards.

I don't issue invites. Everybody I know hates me. Except my girlfriend. She tolerates me from a distance.
