I can't wait, it's only 2 days away. The biggest event in my calendar every year, GenCon. 4 full days of nerdish revelry chock full of games, games, and more games. Roleplaying, Board Games, Minis Games, Card Games, Wargames, Computer Games, Parlor Games. You name it, they've got it.
Then the exhibit hall - chock full of cool stuff to blow money on, neat sneak peaks at upcoming new releases, demos, bargain bin items, and of course hot model chicks in chainmail bikinis and such. All good times.
Indianapolis. Every August. Be there, or be left out! If it's too late for you this year, have a look at the website and get ready for next! http://www.gencon.com
Who else is going? Post here!
And fear not, I'll post here next week with a writeup and some of my better pictures of the week!

So since you posted this to Mini Metal (and Plastic) Men (Women and Monsters) I would appreciate it if you enter one of the Gen Con speed painting contests. Privateer Press is good and so is Reaper. Most importantly they are a whole lot of fun even if you are not one of those who enters painting contests.
I also painted a mini for an RPG I played in at the Con, which was a centaur fig that I'm particularly proud of - he may be one of my best pieces ever in my humble opinion.
I will be happy to post those, in the next few days. :)
