Man Accused of Trying To Rob Store With Empty Box

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Charleston police said a man tried to rob a movie rental store with an unusual weapon - an empty cheesecake box. Earlier this week, the suspect placed the box on the counter of the Movie Gallery with a note saying it contained a bomb. He told the clerk the bomb would be detonated remotely if he wasn't given cash.
The clerk refused and the suspect fled.
Police arrested 43-year-old Paul Parrish II of Charleston on Wednesday.
Sgt. Aaron James said Parrish allegedly confessed after he was shown a store video of the attempted robbery. Parrish allegedly told police he needed money for gas and cigarettes.
Parrish is charged with first-degree robbery. He's being held at South Central Regional Jail and doesn't yet have an attorney.

Those of you who read my articles know I like the news of the weird. I know it shouldn't, but it amazes me how truly stupid people can be. If I was going to rob a store with an empty box I would not use a cheesecake box. I think it sends the wrong message. In my mind cheesecake is comfort food. How seriously can you take someone when they use a comfort food box? I wonder what brand it was. Was it Sara Lee? Because Nobody doesn't like Sara Lee. I am not sure what kind of box I would use, maybe a box for some kind of tool, that is a little more menacing. Maybe a power drill box?
I know the price of gas and cigarettes is high. At least we are not getting fifty articles a day about it anymore on Gather. I admit we have a hard time with the high prices, milk is another one. Should we buy gas to go get the milk or... its starting to seem like an either/or proposition. If I was going to turn to a life I crime I think I would be more prepared than this guy. So here is the question for all of you (there is always a question) if you were going to rob a store with a box, what type of box would you use?

But I know what I wouldn't use (some aren't boxes, sorry).
1) Whipped cream container
2) bag of popcorn (popped)
3) package of Ramen noodles
4) Ding-Dongs box
5) loaf of cinnamon bread
