Today, while picking pears off our pear tree, a humming bird flew by, and then flew back to check out the bright orange lettering on my cap.
Those things are very loud when they’re hovering right next to your ear.

Their smallness and their big job of pollinatination gives me great respect for them. Not to mention that they are quite pretty.
I guess the noisy flutter of their wings when I'm up close really is par for the course.

They are the coolest little things though! I have seen them down in Maryland and up north in Potter County and they are so fun to watch.
