I woke hubby up early this afternoon so he could get out and get some sunshine. He's been going through some really stressful times these days, and I wanted to take care of him today and help cheer him up. So, I got him up and going, and we went to Starbucks for a mocha and a passion tea lemonade. (You can probably guess who ordered what!) Instead of going home, we decided to run some errands. The bank, the grocery store, the cigarette store, the ATM, etc. I always have the best times in the car with my hubby. I guess it's because we are stuck in a small space and pretty much forced to converse. We are always joking and laughing and talking about all kinds of things that we normally don't talk about when we're at home because we're busy going about our own things. We have this game we play with each other: "Which would you rather." We think of the most off-the-wall things to choose between, and the only rule of the game is that you HAVE to choose something! LOL! It always leads to some really interesting conversations.
Once home, we basically did what we do best. We sat at the computer together, each working on our respective projects. Me: Transcription, ChaCha, Grocery Game stuff, etc. Him: Taxes, Poker, RKR Construction collections, etc. I love being able to just look up and see him when we work. How luck are we that we get to work from home!?
After a bit, I decided to make my weekly CVS trip. I collected all of my coupons, cards, and my trusty pricing notebook and headed out. I always scan my Extra Care card when I walk in the door in their little machine thingy to see what coupons it spits out on each of my visits. This time, hubby's card spit out a coupon for a free $25 gift card with a new or transferred prescription! It just so happened that the main reason for the CVS trip that day was to get a prescription my doctor had called in the day before! Yeay! So, I bought all of my stuff, got my free mouth wash, free ibuprofen, free candy, free drinks, free makeup, and paid for my prescription. After all of my coupons, I ended up only paying $5 off of the new $25 gift card! So, I have $20 to spend next week! Yeay!
Tonight we decided to get some Chinese food. It was a great idea by hubby, because we haven't had Chinese in a loooong time, and I had missed my favorite restaurant's beef/broccoli/water chestnut. :) We've been watching the olympics mostly all day and night. We've just had it playing on the TV while we go about our business during the day. I was watching the fencing for a little bit earlier was cracking up because those girls SCREAM at the top of their lungs when they do that! hahahaha! It was pretty funny, but something that I'm not used to watching, so very interesting at the same time. It really bothers me that that guy got murdered in China. He was an American, there to attend the Olympics, and it is just really sad that something like that had to happen. Especially on the first day of the games.
Tonight hubby is already back to sleep after our shower (together! woooohoooo!), and I am getting ready to hit the bed as well. Tomorrow I'll either be mentoring a medical transcription student, if he doesn't bail on me again, or visiting my horse for some trail riding with my favorite riding buddy!

Thank you for posting to my group tryingfor3000
But you are so very lucky that you both work from home. My boyfriend would love to work from home. He hates his job so much.
