TRYING TO GO TO GATHER REUNION...ANYONE PASSING MY AREA ALONG THE WAY???

We all know the saying "When it rains it pours", but lately it seems like there's a freakin' monsoon following me around!
I really want to go to the Gather Reunion in Pittsburgh, PA. on Aug. 20th! I made plans to go first by plane, and then I thought that I would drive.
Due to health reasons, my doctor doesn't want me to drive. The airline ticket isn't so much, but I need to use oxygen, and the airlines say that you have to use their oxygen at the price of $100.00 per leg of each flight. It would cost me the airline ticket plus $400.00 to use their oxygen, and I can't afford that.
Actually, I don't even know how I will be feeling when the time comes, but I thought that I would see if anyone was passing through the Southwestern corner of Ohio on their way. If I can make it, I would help pay for gas! Is anyone out there coming my way??

I wish I could help you Nina, but im not giong. With Gas prices and everything else going on, plus renting a room for a few nights. Just is not in our budget right now.

I can't believe they make you use their oxygen! They charge for everything! And it's a health issue...that is just wrong if you ask me. Well if I still lived in Nebraska it might be a possibility but unfortunately I can't afford the plane ticket either. I hope you find a way!

Nina, that might work for us. We're in Cincinnati and planning to go. Send me your real email address and we can talk. Hubby and I are planning on going, but we don't have the money to stay. Probably driving up and back without spending the night.

I pray things work out for you, Nina. I would love to go to the reunion myself, but I can't see myself clear at this time with the 4 children in the house and starting school on the 25th. If God wants you there, He'll make a way for you.

Thank you all for responding! I hope that I am well enough to go! I keep sleeping too much. It seems like I can do only one thing per day, and then I am sleeping the rest of the day! It is so crazy!
My pulmonary doctor did an Echocardiogram, because he wants to measure the pressure in my lungs to see if there is a possible blockage in my arteries! Hopefully I will get the tests back soon! I just can't think of anything else that could cause me to sleep so much! I am not depressed...that feels different. I am just so sleepy!
Anyway, I hope that I can go. We'll see what the doctor says this week!

LaRue, you are correct...if God wants me there, I will be there!

Hey Kimberly, someday we should plan a road trip! It would be a blast!

Marianne, Priscilla, Steph-in-Ne, Sandy, Samantha, Marge, Cheryl, Karen, and all of the rest of my gather friends, I hope that we can all meet some day! That would be quite a party, wouldn't it!!
