Marinade Madness! Random Ideas and Tips for Making and Using Marinades in Your Cooking

Mix up a big batch of marinade you use often - or at least the base ingredients. Store in a jar in the fridge and add spices, onions, peppers or whatever works for your meal.

Store meat in a freezer bag, add marinade and freeze meat with marinade in the bag.

Add marinade to frozen meat while defrosting in the microwave.

Marinade in a pinch:

Lemon or lime juice
Worcestershire sauce
Soy Sauce
Teriyaki Sauce
Balsamic Vinegar
Italian Salad Dressing
Red or white wine
Coffee
Beer

I love making marinades but I usually do it at the last minute. I will try making some and freezing it. What a great idea. Thanks.

I didn't know that you could freeze the meat with the marinade in it...cool!!

You can help get the marinade into the meat faster if you vacuum seal the bag it is in.
