John Edwards has confessed to having an affair with Rielle Hunter. However, this story still has legs and will likely continue through the DNC Convention. The problem that many are pointing out is that Edwards claims the affair ended in 2006, but he was just caught meeting with Hunter just two weeks ago. As well, there seems to be hush money involved, and some will question the ethics of paying Hunter a salary of $114k to document Edwards during his campaign. Clearly, enquiring minds want to know :)

No, that marriage fell apart while he was in prison in Vietnam. It's a little more understandable than what John Edwards just did to his family all the while telling Americans how moral he was... you moonbats never want to look at the misdeeds of your own party. Anyways, McCain's divorce was in 1980, 28 years ago. John Edwards is in the news TODAY talking about how he lied to the American people over and over.... so lets stay on topic, shall we?
John McCain won't be able to use this as a campaign issue because he's been there himself. And he won't want to draw attention to his own past.
And John Edwards isn't the candidate.
I don't recall John Edwards being holier than thou. In fact, in one notable interview he said he sinned every day. I hope he had fun doing it, because his political career is definitely shelved for the time being.
So the wingnut delegation, while drooling over the opportunity, won't be able to say a thing. Such wonderful irony.
First, she was paid $114,000 to document Edwards... and she had no experience. It was just for Edwards to spend campaign money on his mistress so she would be at his side. They travelled the world together. Ah... this will be fun watching it all unravel. Someone needs to bring criminal charges against Edwards... that is my next prediction.
He won't have to. This has legs of its own and the damage has just begun. Do you think Edwards will be MIA in the convention? John McCain won't have to say a peep... the cat is out of the bag.
That's what I was wondering. He said that he won't be taking anymore questions about this which is pretty convenient since the admission opened up more than there were before. Unfortunately he humbled himself in front of the liberal media for them to respect his wishes to end the story so they will continue not to cover the story.

If it were the case that Bush was a murderer pick Edwards. But since it's not the case, I've got to pick the intelligent, decent, moral, steadfast leader we know and love: George W. Bush.... hands down.

The crime is giving campaign money to Rielle Hunter. She started a business firm and five days later was given $100,000 to document Edwards. This money came from campaign funds. Further, other moneys are being doled out to Ms. Hunter, though the source is not clear yet.
I think the business arrangement is enough to investigate.
As I've stated, they won't have to. The continued lies from Edwards will keep the story alive and it will reflect badly on all dems, and it will be on peoples mind at the convention.

Thank you, my son, for drawing attention to such an important current topic. I must say it is urgent that we expose all those that commit sexual indiscretions as it is vital to the interest of our national security. I would very much like to here more regarding this issue as it appears to have affected so many members of congress, republicans and democrats alike. Shame on all of those wretched souls who compromise the integrity of our great nation by haveing gay sex in airport bathrooms. Damn them all.

I'm not sure if this thread has simply run it's course of if I killed it with my above mentioned link. Either way, it's a dead horse you ride, Brother Don.
So. for those that didn't have the moral and intellectual courage to go the the web site I mentioned above I'll tell you a little of what it contains.
There are over 120 Republicans over the last 10 years alone that have had their sexual indiscretions exposed. That's one a month by my count for the last 10 years, and these are only the ones that got caught. Imagine how many more got away.
Now, to be fair, the left is not without its faults as well but, really, brother Don, who are you trying to fool other than yourself?

He was running for POTUS... had he won that would have been disastrous for your party and the country. He was in the top three.... this was not far fetched. The man is extremely self-centered.
They sure beat me up when I posted this. Now that Elizabeth Edwards book is published and she's made the rounds the only thing left is to find out if Edwards is the father of the bastard child. I am quite certain he is, and I think the mom is too -- and she is going to prove it once and for all and get back her life with Johnny's fat bank account.
