Just cashed out for a TARGET card!

I didn't even realize that you could get TARGET gift cards now with the points. I was ready to go cash in for a $25 card to either Home Depot or Borders and then I saw TARGET! That added a little excitement into my life this evening. I always get depressed when I look over at my point tally though. I now have a total of 6 Gather points.

Ever since I have been on Gather (couple of years) I have given every gift card I have earned to family members or friends for birthday or Christmas presents! But this TARGET CARD is for me!

Thanks to all of you for helping me get a gift card. It's so much fun on Gather, but even more fun to go shopping!!

I hope you enjoy spending your Target card. I know once I get done getting my bathroom done (I need another $100 in hd gc) I plan on getting me a couple of starbucks and target cards. Those Target cards come in handy for teacher gifts at Christmas and End of the year.

I can buy all kinds of stuff at the Target. I will probably end up buying stuff like PULL UPS and toothpaste, but who cares? It saves me a little money.

Who knows? I may find something I really want to buy for myself.

Good for you!! You deserve to keep your Target card, sounds like you've been pretty charitable with your other GCs. I can't wait to cash out for mine in a few day too!! Enjoy!!

I didn't know about the cards when I joined, but now I really appreciate them. I'm sitting on a stack of cards, myself. I went to Macy's yesterday and hit the sale racks to get rid of the last of my Macy's cards. I have a bunch of Home Depot cards to use, too. I get so many of these things laying around that I forget I have them, so I've decided to make an effort to use them up.

Now, Target cards, however...I don't think I'll have trouble using them up at all.

I love target. It's about an hour and a half away from me. From now on, people probably won't get gift cards anymore. I will be taking most of the Target ones.

I like Target but I would LOVE it if Gather offered Kohl's cards. Hint, hint. For one thing, our nearest Target is two hours from here. Glad your points are rolling in, Monica!

Vicky-----I would love to have Kohls too, or Steve and Barry's, or Bath and Body, or Walmart. I love them all. Anything to do with shopping is always cool.

I always save up for a $50 card. It's 1650 points for a $25 card and 3125 for a $50 card. When you cash in for a card of lesser denomination, you basically "waste" some of your hard-earned points. Half of 3125 is 1560 ... so there's a 90-point difference for half the denomination. Don't mind me, though. I'm just an overly-frugal dork. I always want as much as I can get for what I'm spending ... whether it's points OR money. :)

woohoo!! congrats and enjoy your Target shopping spree! I think it's great they have Target cards now.. doesn't do me any good now that I'm on cash, but it's great they're getting better optioins. :O)

I am going to hoard my points this year and cash them all out at the same time. Probably next August or September.
