FMS or Fibromyalgia syndrome was recognized as a true illness and a major cause for disability in 1987. It is not curable, but it is treatable. Many doctors today still lack the skills to diagnose and treat it. I have Fibromyalgia. A cental nervous system dysfunction is the "reason" for the increased pain sensitivity of this syndrome. I read some information on a supplement that some people have found to help reduce fibrofog. Fibrofog is a term for the symptom: cognitive deficit of FMS Coenzyme Q10 I haven't tried it yet, but I will let you know if I do. I found this information in a book I purchased recently called, Fibromyalgia & Chronic Myofascial Pain ( A Survival Manual) by Devin Starlanyl and Mary Ellen Copeland

I have suffered from Fibro for years, but wasn't diagnosed until recently. Many doctors (and even family and friends) still don't take it seriously.
I am currently taking lyrica, but so far, it doesn't help that much.
I have noticed when there is a change in the barometric pressure I generally have symptoms.
But I don't have them all the time.
You have my complete admiration. I did not know you had this. You certainly haven't let it interfered with your children and their activities, your art and the support you give so many others here. Good for you!
