You might not need a watch here, if you want a rough estimate of the time and can't guess. The inscription thanks "John Purcell, Ted Lloyd, Sarah Richardson, Rich Haag, Plaza D' Artz and many others" and is copyrighted 1978 by Chuck Greening and Kim Lazare.Apparently this sundial can be used during a full moon too!
Nobody's shadow fell on this "2" when I took this photo and it wasn't "2:PM" at that time.
...opposite ends of the central portion of the sundial.
I'm not sure if that is supposed to represent an astrological symbol or if it's just a really cool design.
