does anyone else have problems with the clicker? It doesn't seem to matter, if I rate it first, or after the comment, but if I just tap the clicker, it stays there on the star. I then have to go back and hit the box again with the clicker. I have found out that if I stay on the star, for atleast three seconds it will disappear afterwards.
Sometimes it will disappear after the first try, but mostly not. I am kind of wondering, why not just have a three star system. Bad, good, best, or something to that effect...Why have one to ten? What good does that do? It's like we are back in Kindergarten.
What other ideas do you have for the rating system?
Heh, don't know if I should leave the rate on for this one??

No offense, but I'm gonna kind of laugh if a troll hits your article. It's eschewing, and it would prove the point even more. -sets up troll bait and waits-
But I'll give you a 10 for this one :)
i) the 'thumbs up' image being used doesn't match the other icons on the page,
ii) ratings are now hidden which will ultimately lower their use on the site,
iii) returning to content you previously viewed now requires an extra step to verify that you have already rated the content.
...among the technical problems getting it to work or display at all.
I certainly hope that Gather makes some changes in this area fairly soon. As an alternative, I would propose a single 'recommend' button where I can either recommend content to my friends (or specific friend sets), to the entire community, or to the Gather home page. The latter two 'recommendations' would be public and can be viewed on my profile page.
Perhaps there could also be some incentive provided based the number of 'recommendations' content receives.
Yeah, about the previously viewed. There needs to be something done about that as well...Not sure what it would be though...
thanks both of you
Thanks J R B. I appreciate you doing that
