Leaving Gather for awhile...I will be back

Friday morning at 7am my son and I will be boarding a plane headed for Boston. Then from there we travel to the rocky coast of Maine where we will spend 18 days with my husbands family on a little island.

Ocean breezes, warm summer days, family and friends, late night card games and games of scrabble. BBQ, fresh seafood, and ice cream.

I am really looking forward to the trip and I can't believe that it is almost time to go. I have most of my bag packed, and my sons is close to packed as well. Only a few items that will be put in last minute...All my last minute business on this side is done - bills paid, car tuned up and full of gas for my hubby.

I have my address book and stamps ready for the postcards that I will write to friends back here in Ohio, and I just got a new charger for my cameras battery - since we don't have electricity on the island (we use solar to charge cell phones and batteries).

My cell phone has limited internet, so for 18 days (plus a few for travel) I will be without Gather and my e-mail. It was tough last year, for the first few days and then I just relaxed and enjoyed the time...I think this year will be much of the same. The feeling of disconnect from my Gather friends...

I wish you all a wonderful August! I will be back...probably during the last week...and I will try to make some time for Gather tomorrow...I leave early on Friday morning so there won't be time then.
