My daughter had her appointment for her wrist yesterday. I actually got a couple things accomplished. First the doctor can not understand why they did not put stitches in her wrist or finger. Being so long...she couldn't. However she did give me a antibiotic prescription for my daughter. As she thinks her finger is getting infected because it smells. I have a head cold going on so there is no way for me to tell. We also discussed my daughters ADHD, ODD and the medicine she takes. My daughter has lost 12 pounds so far. I mention to the doctor about her not eating and loosing to much weight. So, she wants my daughter to eat more and be given more calories. Plus she wants her on a fatty diet. Also to give her ensure or boost. I am to mix it with ice cream and add some fruit and make it it to a little shake type drink for her. What are good ideas for adding a more diet with more calories but still healthy? Have any of you had experience with your kids loosing to much than trying to add more on? How did you handle it with your other children? Cause my boys have added weight on them. So, a fatty diet would not be good for them.
This is a picture of my daughter. She only weighs 56 pounds :

This is what my daughter looked like before her weigh loss back in May.

I think the article basically said to *add* to what she's already eating, and make a few healthy alterations (wheat bread and bagels, for example).
Make your own veggie pizzas, or homemade mac-n-cheese. Add fresh fruit to her cereal or yogurt. If she likes dips with her food, let her have a little extra ranch with her veggies or on her salad, or a cream cheese type spread with her fruit. I'm sure you can find healthy alternative recipes to favorite kids meals on the internet.
