I am teaching myself the "sign language." It is very difficult, but I am absorbing like a sponge. I love it. I now know 850 words, so I can speak simple communication finally.
I'm still learning. Each day I try to add another 10 words ot my vocabulary.
But, I need someone that doesn't hear to practice with. I would learn faster.
However, I do enjoy at my pace. When I go to worship God, I love to sing and sign at the same time. It is so soul touching.
Well, I guess the old saying that "you cannot teach an old dog new tricks" is wrong.
I'm old, and learning a lot. :)

Have you tried practicing with DVDs? I had seen some over at Netflix, but I've had so many things going on that my self-improvement kick (at least in that area) sort of went into a slump.
I used to know quite a bit when I was a kid but lost most of it over time. Same with the French language.
