Okay for all of you on here that are ChaCha guides, check your email you're sure to be peeved at what you find.
They have decided that starting August 14th ALL guides who do not make the Top Guides list will only make 10c a search instead of 20c a search. I suck at math, but a 50% pay cut is insulting :|
What is even worse is they still haven't came up with a way for us to even know our accuracy rating, unless we make the top guide list (which is 95% or better) AND we have to do at least 300 searches a week. . (43 searches a day roughly) and that is a bit insane for those of us who have real life off the internet jobs and don't sit glued to the computer all day.
When I signed up I signed up because they said it would be flexible, work as you want, when you want for 20 c a search.
I'm a bit annoyed :| Any other guides in gatherland aware of these changes on ChaCha?

I work pretty darn hard at it and I was not thrilled with the 20 cents a search as it was, but now I will have to work harder just to get that! I guess it will cut down on some of the really crappy guides that I have seen. There are times that I am shocked and even offended when I read the histories!
I really don't have a lot of options for work, so I will do my best to make this new system work.
I can't do that, I work off line and have school. Heck even if I didn't I might have to go potty some time LOL
I just think they are pulling another netwinner, they're being kinda draconian over on the forum right now :|

I'm not on there often, as I do a lot of other stuff... so yeah, I don't think I'll be making any top guide list. That is rather insulting. I can likely find better ways to earn some cash, if this is how they're going with it.
That's what I said on the forum last night (well it was a chat, some of escaped the cluster-smash that was the forum) as much as gather peeves me off with constant site redesigns that push quality content aside, as least they haven't screwed with the point system. I swear if they do I may turn my ferrets loose in gather HQ. Then they'll have no socks :\
I am finishing up this month (hopefully I have 20 more to earn by the 14th to make the pay out of 100) and then I'm probably done unless they change it back. I guess like someone on the forum said "ride the wave and get off before it crashes" :\
boomer cut points to new members after raising the cash out several times and now guess what no gift cards are being sent out with no real word on what is going on there so to be honest you will be luck to see your next payment.
I am still going through all of the posts on the forum and trying to figure out this category thing. I think that it is safe to say that no one is happy.
In the latest blog posting they say that they "have invested millions of dollars in tools and training for our Guides. " I have certainly never seen that! Then they go on to say that they have given us tools to make our searches easier. I don't know about you guys, but I NEVER use their page to start a search. It takes to darn long and usually doesn't get me what I need. It just adds another step, that is not helpful.
I am just so mad with the flowery "drink the kool aid and be happy" post that just went on the blog (well earlier today but I just started working) I am not putting nearly the amount of effort in that I have before. As soon as this pay period is over, I'm done :|
No one ChaCha employee said (or maybe it was a Mod, I still haven't learned all their color codes) that they're not going to ever charge the user because then there would hardly be any infoseekers using the service. UGH! Maybe if they did I wouldn't have to answer questions such as
"why is my poo brown"
and "how big is a horses penis"
(yep those were my first two questions tonight *facepalm*)

That's sad that after BT (which I DID join, got burned, call me dumb or pending, whichever) that chacha cuts pays by half - when they don't pay squat to begin with. That's awful.
